Richard Purcell is an Associate Professor of English at Carnegie Mellon University. His writing and research is focused on the intersection of race, culture and media with a particular focus on contemporary black popular craft. Richard has a passion for public education and curriculum writing. He has been the director of Arts Greenhouse since 2017.
Shun-Sho Carmack has worked in youth programming for over a decade. She has degrees in Journalism & Mass Communication, Fine Arts, and Library & Information Science. Shun-Sho has a passion for public access to information and program design. She joined the Arts Greenhouse in 2019.

Julie Albright is the owner and director of The Writing Studio, where she provides tutoring, editing services, and creative writing summer camps. Julie graduated from CMU with degrees in Creative Writing and French and has an MFA in Fiction from the University of Pittsburgh. She has taught workshops at many schools and cultural institutions throughout Pittsburgh and has written stories and essays for a variety of publications.
